Dr Nomphelo Gantsho
She is a fellow in Dermatology under the College of Medicine of South Africa. She specialised in dermatology at the University of Cape Town and has been practicing as a dermatologist in both private practice and public service. She qualified as a medical doctor (MBChB) in 2004 from Pretoria University and before becoming a medical practitioner she was a science researcher with Masters in Science (M.Sc.).
Through out her working experience as a dermatologist, Dr Nomphelo Gantsho developed a realization of the apparent lack of validated evidence for different aesthetic products. For this reason, she realized the essential need to offer effective and validated scientific evidence in the aesthetic field.
Prof Rannakoe J Lehloenya
He is a Dermatologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital. He has been in private dermatology practice and public service since 2009. His main research interest is adverse skin reactions to medications and is currently involved in numerous national and international clinical and laboratory studies on the subject. He has more than 60 publications in local and international journals. His other significant interest is anthropology of human beauty, a subject on which he is currently writing a book.
Professor Lehloenya has a keen interest on the scientific basis of skin disease and it is for this reason that for the last few years he has preferentially examined the basic sciences components of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa examinations.
